British Sovereign

British Sovereign
The British Sovereign Gold Coin has been minted intermittently by the United Kingdom since the 1800’s to present day. This 22-karat gold coin contains .2354 troy ounces of gold and is considered a bullion coin. The coin’s obverse has changed over the years (the one pictured here was used from 1911-1932 and has the bust of King George V facing left) and the reverse is the same for all versions showing Saint George mounted on horseback, slaying a dragon.
