2015 1 oz Australia Gold Lunar Goat
The 2015 Gold Lunar Year of the Goat coin features an adult male goat standing on a ridge in a stylized mountain scene. The Chinese character for ‘goat’ and the inscription ‘Year of the Goat’ also appear in the design with the Perth Mint’s traditional ‘P’ mintmark. Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination are shown on the obverse. Each coin comes individually sealed in a plastic capsule from the Perth Mint. In the Chinese Lunar Calendar, 2015 is the year of the goat. People born in this year are said to be elegant, charming, artistic, gifted and calm. While the 1 kilo, 10oz, 2oz, 1/2oz, 1/4oz, 1/10oz and 1/20oz coins have no mintage limit, the Perth Mint will produce no more than 30,000 of the 1oz coins.
